Bayern Munich have Harry Kane on their wishlist as a possible replacement for Robert Lewandowski, but Kicker reports that a deal this summer is looking unlikely.

Spurs fans have had to deal with nothing like the amount of speculation surrounding Kane’s future as they did last year. Tottenham are in a very good place right now. And Kane looks extremely happy playing for Antonio Conte.

But the interest in the England star has remained.

Kane is one of perhaps a handful of genuinely world-class number nines around right now. And of course, another comes in the form of Lewandowski.

It has been no secret that the Poland international wants to leave Bayern this summer. As noted by Kicker, he wants to join Barcelona and is hoping that the Bavarian giants accept a bid for him.

Should he leave, Kane is one of the players Bayern would be interested in. However, Kicker notes that any deal looks highly unlikely in this window due to the costs involved.

Bayern Munich want Harry Kane

It would be a major surprise if Kane had any interest in leaving Tottenham this summer. Spurs are moving in the right direction at a rapid rate under Conte. And he will want to see where the club can go in the next couple of years.

But obviously, Bayern is not a club it is easy to say no to. So he may be prepared to keep that option open in case Tottenham struggle to live up to expectations this year.

The Bundesliga champions have already managed to lure Sadio Mane away from Liverpool this summer. And if Lewandowski goes, there will be a huge void to fill.

Kane is an ‘amazing‘ player. And the opportunity to move to Bayern may appeal a lot more should Spurs not kick on from here.
