Celtic could be about to lose out in the race to sign teenage sensation, Aaron Hickey, with Bayern Munich making a late play to land the young Scot.
According to a report from German publication Bild, the Bundesliga champions have made their move to take Hickey over to mainland Europe, offering the youngster terms to be part of their youth set up initially.

The news will come as a bitter blow to Celtic and manager Neil Lennon. Back in July, it was widely-expected that Hickey would sign for the Bhoys, with 90Min claiming a deal was close at the time.
However, Bayern seems to have scuppered any hopes Celtic had of landing Hickey. The temptation to join such a behemoth of world football could well tempt the Hearts youngster, even though first-team chances will be slim.

The defender enjoyed a fine season with Hearts last season, making over 20 appearances and cementing himself in the first-team picture.
A blow for Celtic but how does Hickey turn down such a chance? – TBR View
Celtic are obviously one of the biggest names in Europe themselves but Bayern are on a different level entirely.
Surely, then, Hickey will not turn down the chance to move to the German outfit, even if he doesn’t get much of a look-in at first?
He’ll have looked at the success that young English players like Jadon Sancho have had and think he wants a piece of that action, while he’ll also be simply amazed Bayern have come along with an offer.
As good as a move to Celtic would be, you simply cannot blame Hickey if he does opt for Munich.
