The report states that Barcelona have been closely following Martinelli this year, and have been impressed by his ‘exceptional season’.

Barcelona believes that if Martinelli doesn’t renew his contract soon, there could be a ‘real market opportunity’.

However, Sport suggest that a move is unlikely right now, with Arsenal and Martinelli both keen to extend his stay in north London.

The winger is currently on £47,000-a-week, and could sign a new four-year deal that increases that significantly.

Martinelli has been sensational this season, and already has five league goals and two assists.
