Barcelona are considering a move for Sergio Reguilon, with the Tottenham Hotspur star seen as a potential alternative to Marcos Alonso this summer, according to a report from Mundo Deportivo.
Reguilon continues to be linked with a move away. He does not appear to be in Antonio Conte’s plans in North London. The Spaniard missed the club’s trip to South Korea in pre-season.

Reports have claimed that Sevilla want to re-sign the 25-year-old. But they are not the only La Liga side keen on a deal for the left-back.
Mundo Deportivo reports that Barca are prioritising a deal for Alonso. However, they are yet to agree terms on a move for the Chelsea player.

With that, they are considering alternative options. Mundo Deportivo reports that Reguilon’s agent offered the Spurs player to Barca some weeks ago.
A loan deal is on the table for the Catalan giants. And the report suggests that new calls have been made more recently.
Barcelona are keeping Reguilon in mind. He is seen as a cheaper option than Alonso.
Barcelona considering move for Sergio Reguilon
A loan is not ideal for Tottenham. Obviously, they would prefer to receive a fee for a player they paid £32 million for. However, a temporary exit may prove to be their best option.
Reguilon is unlikely to play much at all should he stick around. So his value is only going to drop if he remains in North London.
An impressive loan with Barca on the other hand, would boost Spurs’ hopes of receiving a considerable sum.
Reguilon is a ‘brilliant‘ player. So he could certainly be a superb addition for many sides across Europe.
Perhaps it may be Barcelona who offer him the fresh challenge in this window.
