According to reports in Spain, Sead Kolasinac has emerged as a target for Barcelona. Mundo Deportivo reports that Arsenal left-back Kolasinac is one of several players on Barcelona’s radar this summer.
Barcelona are in the market for a new left-back this summer. Kolasinac is one of the names mentioned in this article, as well as Celtic star Kieran Tierney.
The Spanish giants need a new left-back to compete with ageing star Jordi Alba. La Liga duo Junior Firpo (Real Betis) and Filipe Luis (Atletico Madrid) are also on Barcelona’s radar.
Wendell of Bayer Leverkusen, PSG’s Juan Bernat, Porto ace Alex Telles and Borussia Dortmund defender Raphael Guerreiro are the other names mentioned.
But Kolasinac is a possibility. It would cost Barcelona between €20m and €25m (between £17m and £22m roughly) to sign Kolasinac from Arsenal.
The 25-year-old has been with Arsenal since his free transfer from Schalke in summer 2017. He has since played 72 games, drifting in and out of the starting line-up.
With five goals and 13 assists to his name for the Gunners, the Bosnian international’s attacking threat appeals to Barcelona.
Kolasinac often operates in the left-wing-back role under Unai Emery. But with doubt surrounding the futures of both Nacho Monreal and Kolasinac, Arsenal might need a left-back shake-up this summer.
