Arsenal face another blow in what has been a hectic summer market for them, this time thanks to Barcelona and Renato Sanches.
The Gunners are thought to be keen on landing Sanches. Reports recently have suggested that tentative talks have already been held over a potential £30m deal to bring Sanches to north London.
However, Le10 Sport are reporting today that Barcelona have now moved to start talks with Sanches. And despite their issues with Lionel Messi, it’s claimed a move to the Nou Camp has already been discussed.

Le10 claim that Sanches’ agent has already sourced out Barcelona as a potential destination for his player. Of course, any deal is likely to be scuppered by Barca’s lack of money.
The report claims that the Catalan club could seek a loan-to-buy deal. But that is likely to be less appealing to Sanches’ agent, who is looking to cash in on his client’s stock being so high.
However, as we’ve seen this summer, Barcelona have still managed to have their way with certain signings. And with Messi now off the books, there could be some funds available in the coffers.
Arsenal need to act if they want Sanches
The weeks are drifting on by in this transfer window and Arsenal are still no closer to getting that big-name midfielder signing.
Sanches is among a host of names being linked. But his performances for Lille and in the Euros with Portugal suggest he’d be a good fit.
And at £30m, he’s not exactly over-priced either. The time is now, then, if Arsenal are to make their move here.
