Portuguese outlet A Bola have claimed that Sporting Lisbon are keen on signing Liverpool attacker Rafael Camacho this summer, as the teenage ace does not want to sign a new contract at Anfield.
The 19-year-old is set to enter the final 12 months of his Liverpool contract this summer and Liverpool had opened talks over extending the youngster’s contract, after he broke into the senior side last season.
Indeed, the Portugal Under-19 international earned a substitute in the 4-3 win over Crystal Palace and played the entire 90 minutes of the FA Cup defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He has also shown plenty of versatility in the club’s second string. Camacho is able to play on either flank, in central midfield or even up front. However, it looks as though his future at Anfield is coming to an end.

Linked with Wolverhampton Wanderers too, Camacho is refusing to sign a new deal with Liverpool as he is aware of Sporting’s interest. It is believed Liverpool require £9million for his signature.
TBR’s view
Camacho is an exciting young player that offers plenty of versatility, but in the grand scheme of things, he is right to reject a Liverpool deal as he has little chance of breaking into the first team.
The Reds boast stars such as Sadio Mane, Mo Salah, Xherdan Shaqiri and plenty more who can play out wide. Camacho is a long way off that kind of talent. A return to his home country with Sporting is a very good move.
