Report: Atalanta keen on Sergio Reguilon as Spurs eye Malinovskyi
Tottenham Hotspur have received a potential boost in their push to sign Ruslan Malinovskyi, with Calciomercato reporting that Atalanta are keen on signing Sergio Reguilon.
Offloading Reguilon could be crucial for Spurs ahead of the final stages of the transfer window. The Spaniard looks to have no future in North London while Antonio Conte is in charge.
Reports earlier in the summer claimed that he had told friends that he was close to joining Sevilla. However, they have since landed Alex Telles on loan.
And with that, the options available to Reguilon are limited. But perhaps, a move to Italy could be on the cards.
Calciomercato reports that Reguilon is wanted by Atalanta.
And that could be extremely beneficial for Tottenham. Reports this week suggested that Spurs are close to agreeing a deal for Malinovskyi. So perhaps there may be scope for some sort of swap deal.
Atalanta keen on Reguilon
It does no-one any favours if Reguilon remains at Tottenham. While Conte is at the helm, it seems that the ‘brilliant‘ Spaniard has little chance of playing for the club.
He will have his sights set on playing at the World Cup. And he is 25 now. He will not want to spend potentially the best years of his career on the sidelines.
Atalanta are an exciting side who were in the Champions League only last season.
And Tottenham can use this interest as a way to get closer to a deal for Malinovskyi. It may be something that works out well for all parties to reach an agreement involving the two players.
