The teenager is yet to make a first-team appearance for the club. However, Thomas Tuchel named the youngster on the bench for the west London side’s Premier League fixtures against Manchester City and Arsenal.

Livramento is one of Chelsea’s highest-rated youth talents currently coming through the academy. So much so that the Sun recently compared the youngster to Brazilian legend and World Cup winner Cafu.

The London-born defender, who can also play in midfield, won the club’s Academy Player of the Year for 2021. Previous winners of the accolade include England internationals Mason Mount and Reece James as well as Scotland star Billy Gilmour.

Although Ezri Konsa played in the role partially last season, Smith will likely be looking to add a second player for the position in the summer.

Indeed, Livramento could be a perfect candidate in the transfer window. With the England youth international questioning his future with Chelsea, Villa have an opportunity to swoop in and pluck one of the country’s top youth talents and integrate him into the first team.

Chelsea have a history of allowing youth players to leave in search for first-team football, and Livramento could be the latest name added to that list should the Blues sign Hakimi this summer, a decision which could allow the English defender to leave for Villa in the window.
