Aston Villa have reportedly made an offer in their attempt to try sign Bournemouth attacker Callum Wilson, but it’s been rejected by them.
According to the Daily Mail, Dean Smith’s side have submitted a £15million bid plus £5million in add-ons for the centre-forward and it’s been turned down.
It is understood that Bournemouth are likely to try hold out for more and the 28-year-old’s future this summer is unclear following his club’s relegation to the Championship.
The report explains that Premier League rivals Newcastle United also want to sign the four-time capped England international, but haven’t submitted a bid yet.
Wilson, who earns £60,000-a-week (Spotrac), is a proven frontman that has scored 67 goals in 187 club appearances for Brighton.
Despite the fact Bournemouth were relegated from the Premier League last season, he still managed nine goals across all competitions and does have 41 top-flight goals in his career so far.

TBR’s View:
Villa certainly lacked a prolific frontman last season and it meant they were flirting with relegation from the Premier League, but they did enough to stay in the top division.
Wilson looks exactly the type of signing that would make a big difference to their squad and he should now be entering the peak years of his career, so forking out a large sum for him is a risk worth taking.
