Aston Villa staff have been very impressed with the fitness of Boubacar Kamara as he continues his recover from his recent injury.

The Athletic report that Kamara could still make it to the World Cup with France as they look to defend their crown in Qatar.

Kamara suffered knee ligament damage in September and was expected to miss the tournament but is recovering ahead of schedule.

He may even be able to play in Unai Emery’s first home game in charge against Manchester United next month, which comes before the World Cup squads are finalised.

Kamara impressing Villa staff after injury

Kamara has been rehabilitating in Dubai, as agreed with Villa and it seems to have had the desired effect.

That means Villa staff were impressed with his condition upon his return to Bodymoor Heath earlier this month.

Kamara is all set to rejoin full training with the first team next week, as Emery gets to grip with the squad he has inherited from Steven Gerrard.

Kamara has previously been labelled ‘extraordinary‘ by former teammate Rolando, and Villa pulled off a coup to get him through the door.

Now, it is down to the man himself to live up to the promise and put in performances which will raise excitement further at Villa.

Emery will have his own ideas about how to change things around at Villa Park and the fans will wait excitedly to see them in action.
