Aston Villa have now shelved plans to loan Keinan Davis out for the coming campaign, according to a report from the Express and Star.
Davis looks to be one of the most highly sought-after players in Dean Smith’s squad this summer.

It was previously claimed that nine clubs in the Championship want the 23-year-old on loan. He was apparently set to leave.
Davis has only started in 22 of the 72 league games he has played for Villa. So a loan move looked to be a good opportunity for the youngster to prove himself.
However, it now seems that he will not be going anywhere.

According to the Express and Star, plans to loan Davis out have been shelved. It is noted that he will miss a couple of months due to injury.
The injury was sustained in training, according to The Athletic. And it would seem that it has put paid to a potential move.
Davis will hope injury acts as blessing in disguise as Aston Villa shelve loan plans
It obviously looks to be a blow for Davis to miss out on a loan exit. He has only scored three league goals during his career.
So he now needs to prove that he is good enough to make the grade at Villa Park. And a loan move may have offered him a fantastic platform.
Having said that, he will hope that missing out on a loan exit could prove to be a blessing in disguise.
If Villa are struggling with injuries by the time he returns, he could be in contention for a run in the side that he obviously would not have had had he left on loan.
So he can certainly set his sights on making the best out of a bad situation.
