Aston Villa have gone back in for Watford winger Ismaila Sarr to try and land him before the transfer deadline.
Villa were linked with a swoop recently but it seemed the trail had gone cold and they were looking at other options.
But they suffered another defeat last night, going down 2-1 against Arsenal despite a goal direct from a corner by Douglas Luiz.
And the Daily Mail report (8.04am, transfer liveblog) that Steven Gerrard is back on the hunt for the Watford wideman, who has been described as ‘outstanding‘.

Villa back in for Sarr
Villa making a late swoop for Sarr would be a show of faith in Gerrard as the pressure grows around his position in the hotseat.
Manchester City are next up and that means that things are not getting any easier for Gerrard at Villa Park.
He clearly felt he needed Sarr earlier this month but they could not get the deal over the line, so it will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done before the window slams shut.
Sarr has attracted a host of interest since dropping back into the Championship with Watford, and he has the quality to shine in the Premier League.
Can Villa get the deal over the line, or will the same problems which meant it did not happen in August rear their head again on deadline day?
Only time will tell on that one but if Villa do back their man and get Sarr over the line, the onus will further be on Gerrard to turn the situation around because he cannot say he has not been backed.
