Aston Villa have made a number of signings this summer but it looks they’ll have to make do without Norwich City star, Emi Buendia.
The Canaries midfield wizard had a tremendous season last year despite Norwich dropping back into the Championship and has been widely-tipped to make a move back to the top-flight.

Indeed, Villa and Leeds have been linked with a move for Buendia, with the Birmingham Mail claiming in August that Dean Smith was monitoring the midfielder with a view to potential move.
However, the Birmingham Mail now claims that Buendia could be on his way to Turkey with Fenerbahce, who are keen to tie up a loan deal which would give them an option to buy next summer.
Norwich have done well to keep the majority of their squad together but in the last few days have been rocked by transfer news. By Monday, they could lose Buendia, Todd Cantwell, and Ben Godfrey, with all three linked with moves away from Carrow Road.

Villa, meanwhile, will probably resist the temptation to make a late play for Buendia, given they’ve just signed Ross Barkley on loan.

Buendia would have been a fine addition for the Villans but there are question marks over whether he would have even got in the team.
Had Jack Grealish gone, Buendia might have been ideal but Villa have kept their talisman while adding in other areas.
Buendia is indeed too good for the Championship. But with Norwich demanding around £20m for their man, it was always going to be a big ask for the PL club to bring him in.
