Aston Villa are reportedly set to make a move for midfielder Philip Billing from Bournemouth.
According to Goal, Dean Smith’s side have discussed a potential move for Liverpool’s Marko Grujic, but they are now likely to go after a move for Billing.
The report explains that the Midlands outfit want to beef up their options in the centre of the park and are looking at the 24-year-old as a target.
Billing was unable to prevent Bournemouth suffering relegation from the Premier League last season, but was an ever-present in their starting XI and one of their most consistent performers.
The Danish midfielder is a left-footed colossus that provides a real presence on the pitch and is strong, but also has plenty of flair too and great ball retention.
Bournemouth signed him for £15million (BBC) last year from Huddersfield Town and as it stands he’s preparing for a season in the Championship, but Villa are looking to swoop in.

TBR’s View:
Villa achieved the main goal last season of staying in the top-flight at the first attempt, but now it’s about the club building to try re-establish themselves as Premier League regulars again and they could do with a few more additions.
Billing, 24, is definitely Premier League standard with the way he plays in the midfield and would be a great alternative to the likes of Conor Hourihane, Douglas Luiz, Jack Grealish and John McGinn.
The 6ft 4in giant is yet to reach the peak of his powers too and a comparison can be made between him and ex-Tottenham enforcer Mousa Dembele.
