Report: Aston Villa insiders now think it's possible that 25-year-old is sold this summer
Aston Villa insiders privately think that it’s possible that Jack Grealish does leave them to join Manchester City this summer, EuroSport suggest.
On the move?
Villa have publicly batted away any suggestions that their star man could leave and want to offer him a new contract.
However, club officials are less confident of Grealish being around behind closed doors, the report suggests.
Indeed, it is claimed that if City can come up with a big money bid then Villa may be prepared to listen.
A major blow
If Grealish was to depart that would be a huge blow to the claret and blues.
The playmaker is the star turn of their team and their form badly dipped when he was injured towards the back end of last season.
Villa have at least added extra creativity to their side already this summer with Emiliano Buendia joining up, although the club have insisted that they want him to play alongside Grealish, rather than be his replacement.
Either way the next few weeks should be crucial to Grealish’s future now, with Euro 2020 coming to and at the weekend.
