Aston Villa have reportedly held talks with Italian club AC Milan about their goalkeeper Pepe Reina.
According to the Daily Mail, Milan have offered Villa the chance to sign the Spaniard in January.
It is understood that the 37-year-old is “eager” to make a return to the Premier League after a previous spell at Liverpool and is convinced he can still cut it in the English top-flight.
Villa have a problem area in goal after losing their number one Tom Heaton for the rest of the season through injury, but it looks like they could be trying to fix that.
They have already signed midfielder Danny Drinkwater on loan for the rest of the season from Chelsea and manager Dean Smith is doing his best to ensure his team come through their relegation battle.

TBR’s View:
Reina has only made one appearance for Milan all season and spent the rest of the time on the bench, but he would bring huge experience to the Villa dressing room.
He would only be a short-term fix at his age, but it looks like he could be an upgrade on the current options in the squad and he may be worth a punt in this window.
