Aston Villa have no intention of letting Keinan Davis leave on loan before next Friday’s deadline, according to a report from LancsLive.
The plans for Davis have been discussed for some time. He made just four starts in the Premier League, with a further 14 appearances coming from the bench.

Villa sent out a big statement regarding how highly they rate the forward earlier in the summer. As noted by the Express and Star last month, he was handed a contract that is set to run until 2024.
However, the Express and Star also claimed that he may be allowed to leave on loan if Dean Smith managed to sign a new forward. It was suggested that a number of Championship sides wanted the 22-year-old.

LancsLive has reported that Preston North End were one of the teams who had Davis on their radar. However, they have also claimed that Villa now have no intention of loaning him out.
Of course, the Villans did not manage to add another goalscorer to their ranks before Monday’s initial deadline. And their options actually decreased with Mbwana Samatta leaving on loan.
Davis certainly looks to stand a good chance of featuring fairly regularly for Smith’s men. With Wesley still sidelined, he appears to have a good place on the pecking order for the time-being.
Ollie Watkins has made an outstanding start to life in the Premier League. And he is clearly first-choice.
But Davis is definitely in the mix. So it is little surprise that a loan move now looks to be off the table.
