Aston Villa are interested in appointing Kasper Hjulmand as their new manager should Dean Smith need replacing, according to a report from The Sun.
Smith is coming under increasing pressure at Villa Park. The Villans have lost their last five in the Premier League.

Villa could end the day 17th in the table. And they currently find themselves two points above the bottom three.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Smith. He surely has plenty of credit in the bank after an impressive tenure so far.
However, it seems an ominous sign that Villa are starting to become linked with a few names.

Paulo Fonseca is reportedly a target. And The Sun is now claiming that there is interest in Denmark boss Hjulmand.
Aston Villa target Hjulmand doing the best work of his career with Denmark
The 49-year-old is best known for leading his country to the semi-final of Euro 2020.
Denmark won a lot of plaudits throughout the tournament. They showed incredible strength and unity, particularly in their first game, in the way that they dealt with the tragic events involving Christian Eriksen.
And they are one of only two sides to have already qualified for next year’s World Cup. Germany are the other to have booked their spot alongside hosts Qatar.
The rest of Hjulmand’s record however, does not stand out. He had a brief spell at Mainz, succeeding Thomas Tuchel.
And he did win one Danish league title with Nordsjaelland.
His work with Denmark has been superb though. And perhaps Villa are now weighing up whether he can bring that success to the Premier League.
