Aston Villa are reportedly contemplating a move for AC Milan’s Fabio Borini.
According to Calciomercato, the newly promoted Premier League side are weighing up a bid for the former Liverpool and Sunderland man, who could cost in the region of €15 million (£13.5 million).

Apparently he does not fit in with new boss Marco Giampaolo’s plans, meaning his future is in doubt.
Villa have competition in the form of Crystal Palace, who are said to be the frontrunners at the moment.
The Eagles face losing Wilfried Zaha this summer and may soon need reinforcements.
TBR’s view
Villa’s interest in Borini is somewhat perplexing.
The Italian is versatile making him a handy squad player, but question marks remain over his ability.

It was a poor season for him in 2018/19 as it was for most of his teammates. He scored just three goals in 29 appearances, and the season before that he registered five goals in 44.
Borini never really pulled up any trees during his time with Sunderland or Liverpool, but perhaps Dean Smith feels he can be the man to get the best out of the utility man.
