Aston Villa are confident that there is no chance of Jack Grealish leaving in January, and believe that they can convince him to stay beyond next summer, according to The Telegraph.
The 25-year-old has been outstanding for the Villans this term. He boasted an impressive record of eight goals and six assists in the top flight last season. It was his form that proved pivotal in keeping the club in the league.

But he is already well on his way to eclipsing those totals this year. He has five goals and five assists in just nine appearances for Dean Smith’s side.
Unsurprisingly, The Telegraph notes that there is plenty of interest in Grealish. However, Villa already believe that his asking price has increased to £100 million.

The Telegraph adds that there is almost no chance of a move taking place in January. And it is suggested that they are hopeful that he will remain with the club heading into next season.
It is noted by The Telegraph that they likely face a tougher fight to hold onto him should Villa fail to finish in the top-half of the table.
TBR View: Onus may be on Villa to make further statements in the transfer market
From the outside, it would appear that only something special will stand a chance of tempting Grealish away from his boyhood club.
That hands the Villans an opportunity to prove that he can achieve a lot where he is. But they arguably need to make further statements in the transfer market.
Grealish has the talent to play for any Premier League side. The onus is surely on Villa therefore, to prove to their talisman that he does not need to leave at this stage of his career.
