The likes of Aston Villa and West Ham have been dealt a potential blow ahead of the summer, with Lancs Live reporting that Josh Brownhill wants to stay at Burnley.
Brownhill has been outstanding during his first full season at Turf Moor. He has made 23 Premier League appearances for the Clarets.

His form is not going unnoticed. TEAMtalk reported at the weekend that Aston Villa, West Ham and Wolves had all scouted the 25-year-old in recent months.
Southampton and Crystal Palace were also named as admirers of the former Bristol City man.

However, any side planning to make a move this summer looks set to be disappointed.
According to Lancs Live, Brownhill wants to stay at Burnley beyond the summer. It is claimed that the £9 million midfielder is happy with how he is developing with Sean Dyche’s side.
Brownhill – who earns £40,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – is generally not a headline-grabbing player. But he is one who does almost every part of the game extremely well.
And having not cost an eye-watering amount last January, some of Burnley’s Premier League rivals may have been hoping that he would be available for a reasonable fee.
However, it appears that they may need to look elsewhere if they hope to add tenacity and intensity to their midfield in the summer.
