Italian newspaper Corriere Dello Sport have claimed that while Inter Milan are interested in raiding Liverpool to lure Divock Origi to Serie A – Premier League clubs Wolves, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Brighton have ‘knocked on his door’.
Origi, 25, has been afforded just seven minutes of Premier League football this season despite beholding iconic status at Anfield – following his Champions League brace against Barcelona in a semi-final comeback, and then one in the final against Tottenham.
The Belgium international is expected to move in January in order to show Roberto Martinez why he deserves a place in Belgium’s squad ahead of Euro 2021. Inter Milan have been strongly linked, but Premier League clubs are keen, too.
Indeed, Villa and Newcastle are new names in the race for the striker and have apparently enquired as to the former Lille and Wolfsburg man’s availability ahead of January. The report claims Liverpool will sanction his loan exit.

TBR’s view – Which club needs Origi the most?
What Origi needs most ahead of Euro 2021 is game time. At Inter, he will be second or even third choice to Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez. So, a Premier League club could be more suited to Origi.
Villa boast Ollie Watkins who is in fine form, while Wesley is returning to fitness. Newcastle have England ace Callum Wilson. Does Origi get above either? Probably not, right now. But at Brighton or Wolves, Origi would start.
Wolves need a striker after losing Raul Jimenez to a head injury, while Neal Maupay is struggling at Brighton. Newcastle do sometimes use two up top, but Wilson is first choice. Wolves or Brighton would be Origi’s best move ahead of Euro 2021.
