Report: Arteta urges Arsenal to make £25m bid for Youri Tielemans
Mikel Arteta wants Arsenal to bid £25 million for Youri Tielemans as the Gunners look to tie up a deal for the Leicester City star this summer, according to a report from The Telegraph.
The Premier League season ended in disappointing fashion for the Gunners. They were pipped to fourth spot in the Premier League in the final week of the campaign.
Unfortunately for Arsenal, that is bound to have an impact on their plans this summer. They have been linked with some brilliant players. And some will have been hoping that they secured Champions League football.

Tielemans is one. Previous reports that Arsenal and the Leicester star were growing confident that he would complete a move to the Emirates if they finished fourth.
The Belgian wants to play in Europe’s premier competition. And the Foxes are ready to let him go ahead of the final year of his contract at the King Power Stadium.
Despite the setback, Arteta is planning to still make a move for Tielemans. The Telegraph reports that the Arsenal boss wants the club to offer £25 million for the 25-year-old.
And the good news is that Tielemans is reportedly now open to play in the Europa League. So it would appear that Arsenal are still in a positive position.
Leicester meanwhile, could demand over £30 million. So Arsenal may have work to do on that front should they offer £25 million.

Signing Tielemans would be a fantastic way for Arsenal to bounce back from the disappointment of the last week. He is an ‘incredible‘ player. And he would surely be an upgrade on the options Arsenal already have in midfield.
It is excellent news that Tielemans is open to playing in the Europa League. He may well see that Arsenal are moving in the right direction. And heading to the Emirates could still be a smart step in his career.
