According to a report from The Sun, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has decided to promote Hale End wonderkids Omari Hutchinson, Miguel Azeez and Charlie Patino to the Gunners’ senior squad for next season.

The North Londoners were extremely close to finishing in the final Champions League spot, but a disastrous week that saw them lose to Tottenham and Newcastle crushed their dreams.

Arsenal finished the campaign fifth, which is not bad at all considering where they were after the first three games of the season. Arteta’s men have shown real progress, and as the quality in the Europa League is significantly inferior to the Champions League, the Gunners will be hoping to go all the way in the competition.

As he has done in the past, Arteta will field a second-string side in the group stages of the Europa League next season. He has now identified three wonderkids from the academy to give opportunities to.

Mikel Arteta to promote three Arsenal wonderkids next season

Arsenal had the youngest team in the Premier League in the recently-concluded season. Despite that, they impressed, which is a huge compliment to their Hale End academy and all the coaches there.

After Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe’s rise to fame, Arteta is keen to give more opportunities to other young players who are coming through the ranks. He has identified three of them for the Europa League next season.

The report claims that Omari Hutchinson, Charlie Patino and Miguel Azeez will be allowed ‘the chance to cut their teeth’ in the competition. The trio have impressed immensely in the academy, and the latter even made his senior debut in the Europa League.

Patino, on the other hand, was given a couple of opportunities last season and he impressed, while young Hutchinson, who may well be the most talented of them all, is yet to make his senior debut.

Omari Hutchinson is more exciting than Saka

Arsenal will announce their Player Of The Season soon and there’s a good chance Bukayo Saka will be the recipient. The young Englishman had a phenomenal campaign and he’s an example to every academy player that they can make the step up and be stars at the top level.

The young England international is just brilliant, but FourFourTwo revealed a few months ago that Arsenal have a young academy player who may well be ‘more exciting’ than Saka – Omari Hutchinson.

“Omari Hutchinson is more exciting than Bukayo Saka was in the under-23s at Arsenal,” the outlet wrote after they named the 18-year-old in their 50 most exciting young players list.

Hutchinson is set to be given an opportunity next season and if he’s anywhere near as exciting as Saka, let alone more than him, Arsenal fans are in for a treat.
