Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney is back on Napoli’s radar, with The Telegraph reporting that the Serie A side are prepared to sign someone else in the short-term before pursuing a future move for the Gunners star.
Tierney has proved to be an outstanding performer for Mikel Arteta’s side this season. It is now remarkable to recall how long it took the 23-year-old to find his feet in North London.

That was largely down to injury. But he has put those issues behind him and he is now one of the younger players inspiring those around him in the Arsenal side.
His form is not going unnoticed. The Telegraph notes that Gli Azzurri were interested in Tierney before his £25 million move to the Gunners.

And it is suggested that they are monitoring him once again. Interestingly, the report suggests that they are open to signing a player on loan before making a future move for Tierney.
Chelsea’s Emerson Palmeri is one option reportedly on their radar.
TBR View: Arsenal would need chance to make huge profit to sell Tierney
As things stand, it seems highly unlikely that Arsenal will show any interest in selling Tierney. He has been superb throughout Arteta’s tenure. And he looks to have the potential to be a key player on and off the pitch for years to come.
Arteta recently labelled him a player with ‘enormous talent and with the perfect attitude and commitment’. He also backed the Scotland international to be a future Gunners captain (via Daily Mirror).
So, if Napoli hope to lure him to Stadio San Paolo, they are surely going to need to make a ridiculous offer.
Arsenal’s £25 million spend is already looking like a major bargain. Napoli are going to have to go big to even tempt the Gunners to consider a bid.
