Arsenal are not planning to bring Eddie Nketiah back from his loan spell at Leeds United, according to a report from The Sun.
Nketiah’s immediate future looks to have a major question mark hanging over it. He is yet to start a single Championship game for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, and some Gunners fans are hoping that he returns to the Emirates in January.
The Sun reports that some Premier League sides as well as Bristol City are interested in signing Nketiah on loan for the rest of the season. But it appears that his admirers are set for disappointment.
The Sun suggests that the Gunners are going to let the 20-year-old see out the season at Elland Road.
TBR View- Big boost for Leeds
Leeds will be delighted if he does stay. They would potentially be five points worse off this season without the youngster. He scored the winner against Brentford, the opening goal in the final stages of the victory at Barnsley and a last-gasp equaliser at Preston North End.
Patrick Bamford has been outstanding in recent weeks. And it is not going to be easy for Nketiah to end that wait for a first start. But keeping him could make a massive difference.
Leeds do not have the depth to let Nketiah go without signing a replacement. And Whites fans would be forgiven for worrying about the prospect of him playing for a Championship rival.
But it appears that Arsenal are about to hand Bielsa a big January boost.
