Arsenal’s coaching staff are all major fans of Martin Odegaard, Goal.com suggest.
Coaching staff support
Arsenal are being linked heavily with Odegaard again this summer, as Mikel Arteta’s side weigh up their attacking midfield options.
Arsenal have both Odegaard and James Maddison, at Leicester City, on their radar.
However, Arteta’s side have not yet been able to push ahead with signing either of their playmaking targets.
That is because Arsenal don’t have the money to afford either of them right now.
Arsenal must make sales – as in Odegaard’s case it is likely he would cost at least £40 million.
No final decision
Goal says that Real Madrid still haven’t made a final decision over whether they will let the Norwegian leave.

But if Madrid do decide to sell then Arsenal will be right at the front of the queue.
Interestingly Arsenal’s coaching staff are all said to be big admirers of Odegaard.
The report claims that he left a ‘huge impression’ on the staff at London Colney, during his loan spell at the club last season. It also claims that Arteta would ‘love’ to bring him back to North London.
That temporary stint with Arsenal should stand Odegaard in good stead if he does return.
He knows the way Arteta operates, and has already established a place for himself in their starting line-up.
But much will depend on Madrid’s decision over his future in the coming weeks.
