Arsenal are close to recalling Zech Medley from his current loan spell at Gillingham and sending him to Kilmarnock, according to a report from the Daily Record.
The 20-year-old has made 12 League One appearances for Steve Evans’ side this season. However, it appears that December’s 2-1 defeat to Doncaster may prove to be his last appearance for the Gills.

The Daily Record reports that he is close to joining Killie for the rest of the season. It is noted that the Gunners want the youngster to play at a higher level.
It is an interesting time to move to Rugby Park. Kilmarnock have lost their last three and they parted company with Alex Dyer at the weekend after their latest loss.

They do boast the best defensive record of all of the bottom six sides in the Scottish Premiership. So there is certainly something for Medley to work with upon his reportedly imminent arrival.
It was always going to be tough for the starlet to catch Mikel Arteta’s eye. Even with a number of departures this month, Arsenal boast tremendous depth at the heart of the defence.
And with players such as Gabriel Magalhaes, Rob Holding and William Saliba on the books, the Gunners could potentially have their first-choice options set in stone for years to come.
Medley therefore, needs to produce something special while away if he wants to prove that he can make the grade at the Emirates.
But playing in the Scottish Premiership may present a fantastic opportunity.
