Arsenal may well be willing to pay the release-clause of Swedish striker, Alexander Isak, as Mikel Arteta continues to look for new signings.
The Gunners are having a hugely busy summer so far. Without really getting deals over the line, they are being linked with a host of players both at home and abroad.
Isak is one of them. The Swedish ace has lit up Euro 2020, and he’s already caught the attention of Ray Parlour, who believes Arsenal should sign him.

Spanish outlet AS have claimed that Arsenal, along with Real Madrid, are keen on the forward. And now the Daily Star has suggested that the Gunners are indeed prepared to meet Isak’s £60m release-clause.
Any move for Isak would be another big outlay for the Gunners. They are set to pay around £50m for Ben White. In midfielder, they’re looking to sign Albert Lokonga, while Sander Berge of Sheffield United remains a target.
Isak scored 17 goals during the La Liga season last term. And despite not bagging as yet in the Euros, his performances have caught the eye.
At 21, there is huge potential there. Arsenal, it seems, have spotted that potential and could now be willing to stump up the cash. They could face competition, though, with Chelsea also said to be in the mix.
Is Isak what Arsenal need? You’d have to question it right now
Arsenal’s spending spree is all well and good. They’re obviously looking at young players who they can build around and grow with.
But on the reverse of that, they also need winners and need them now. They need Champions League football back quickly. So you have to question whether this plethora of young talents can deliver that.
That’s not a slant in Isak. He’s clearly a quality operator with so much more to give in the future. But right now, and at £60m, there are questions to be asked.
