Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara, who was previously in the Gunners academy.

According to GiveMeSport, Arsenal are weighing up a potential move for their ex-player.

It is explained that they are one of several clubs in England that are keen on the 25-year-old star at Scottish giants Rangers.

Kamara, who is an aggressive defensive midfielder, previously made one senior appearance during his time at the north London club.

The Finland international has been at Ibrox since 2019, and has played a crucial role in Rangers winning the league title this season.

He’s an authoritative central midfielder that is great defensively, as well as being extremely accomplished in possession.

TBR’s View:

Kamara may only be playing in the Scottish division, but he’s an international regular, as well as showing his quality on the Europa League stage this season before Rangers’ exit in the Europa League last-16 competition.

He’s someone that Arsenal will know all about after previously having him on their books for a total of seven years.

Fortunately, for Rangers fans at least, Kamara is looking at extending his deal with them beyond his current contract that expires in 2023.

It’s no surprise that clubs in England are closely watching the midfielder, but it may be a no-go for Arsenal.
