Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo have claimed that Arsenal want to lure 17-year-old Sevilla wonderkid Antonio Zarzana to The Emirates Stadium, ahead of the January transfer fee as he continues to attract attention from Europe’s biggest clubs.
A Spain Under-18 international, Zarzana made his debut for Sevilla’s B-team at the end of last season and is quickly developing a reputation as one of Spain’s next best talents. He is expected to become a regular in the second string this term.
Zarzana is a central midfielder that is more than capable of finding the back of the net. His talent even saw Real Madrid make an offer for the teenager, but he rejected a move to the Santiago Bernabeu as he is desperate to play for Sevilla’s senior side.
Bayern Munich and Liverpool have previously been interested in signing the youngster, especially after the teen starred in the Algarve Tournament recently. It remains to be seen how long he has left on his Sevilla contract.

TBR’s view – Zarzana is an excellent young player
Arsenal need additions in the middle of the park. The rise of Matteo Guendouzi has stuttered this season, while Granit Xhaka is still likely to leave after his saga earlier in the season. Lucas Torreira is likely to join Napoli.
Dani Ceballos remains injured, meaning the Gunners need midfielders. Zarzana is not the answer right now, but Arsenal could do a lot worse in bringing a player in his prime right now – and then bringing Zarzana through in a couple of years.
