Arsenal are hoping to sign both Dani Ceballos and Mat Ryan on permanent deals this summer, according to a report from The Sun.
The Gunners are heading into another pivotal window at the end of Mikel Arteta’s first full season in charge. And it appears that a number of players could be on their way out of the Emirates.
The Sun suggests that there are question marks hanging over the futures of players such as Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah.
But two players Arteta would like to have in his ranks next season are Ceballos and Ryan. According to The Sun, the Gunners boss would like to sign both permanently.
Interestingly, it is also suggested that they could look at trying to see whether Real Madrid would be interested in selling fellow loanee Martin Odegaard.
TBR View: Agreeing Ryan move surely a much easier task
It is difficult to see Brighton standing in Ryan’s way should Arsenal come calling about a permanent move.
Of course, a fee will need to be agreed. But Brighton were happy to loan their former number one out in January while Graham Potter’s side languished in the bottom-half of the Premier League. So a permanent deal will surely appeal to all parties.
Signing Ceballos on the other hand, may be a more difficult task. He told Cadena Ser in early January that his wish remains to play for Real Madrid.
What will help Arsenal however, is Madrid’s reported stance. Defensa Central reported last week that they are open to all offers for the £26.3 million-rated Spain international.
So perhaps Ceballos may experience a change of heart should Los Blancos make it clear that they would like to move him on.
