Arsenal have told those in the camp of Hector Bellerin that they would like to agree a new contract with the right-back after handing fresh terms to Granit Xhaka, according to a report from The Guardian.
Xhaka completed a stunning turnaround on Monday as he penned a new deal until 2025. It comes after he looked to be more than on the brink of joining Roma.

Of course, the news is unlikely to go down well. Xhaka has been a divisive character throughout his time at the Emirates.
And it seems that may not be the only unpopular contract decision the Gunners look to make in the near future.

According to The Guardian, Arsenal have told Bellerin that they would like to agree a new deal with the 26-year-old.
It is noted that the Spaniard is keen to leave the Emirates. He did not feature in their opening clash of the campaign against Brentford.
Arsenal asking for trouble if they look to agree new contract with Hector Bellerin
There was a time when Bellerin – who earns £110,000-a-week – looked as though he had the potential to be one of the world’s best right-backs.
However, he has not kicked on as many expected, for various reasons. And at the end of last season, many seemed to think Calum Chambers was the best option available to Arteta.
Chambers started against Brentford. And the fans would seemingly prefer for a new right-back to come in rather than see Bellerin regain his place.
So offering out a new contract is surely asking for trouble.
It would perhaps be received slightly differently if a much greater overhaul had taken place this summer.
But the amount of business Arsenal have done has been underwhelming. So handing out new deals to Xhaka and Bellerin will only exacerbate the frustration.
