Report: Arsenal want Noa Lang after missing out on Raphinha
Arsenal want Noa Lang with the Gunners looking set to miss out on signing Raphinha, according to a report from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.
Mikel Arteta’s men looked to be on pole position to sign the Leeds star. Reports claimed that they had made two bids for the Brazilian.
However, that all changed on Tuesday. Chelsea came in and agreed a fee with Leeds for the 25-year-old.
Personal terms still need to be agreed. And Fabrizio Romano has reported that Arsenal will not throw in the towel in the race to sign Raphinha until a deal with Chelsea is announced.
But they are seemingly preparing to pursue alternative targets. And Mundo Deportivo reports that the name at the top of their wishlist is Lang.
Lang scored nine goals and contributed 15 assists for Club Bruges last season. And he is no stranger to the Arsenal radar.
In fact, the Dutchman claimed that Arsenal made an offer to sign him in January when the Gunners allowed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to leave the club.
Arsenal want Noa Lang
Lang looks set to leave Belgium this summer. It is surely time for the 23-year-old to take that next step in his career. And it would be no surprise to see him attract plenty of Premier League offers.
He has been described as an ‘amazing‘ player. And it would excite plenty of Arsenal fans if the club managed to seal a deal this summer.
Obviously, missing out on Raphinha is a real setback. But Lang is a very talented player, who may not cost a lot. Previous reports have claimed that his asking price could be £34.5 million.
So Lang may be one name to keep an eye on should Raphinha indeed complete his move to Chelsea.
