Arsenal are interested in signing both Houssem Aouar and Isco in the January transfer window, according to a report from Defensa Central.
The Gunners are desperate for new additions after a stuttering start to the Premier League season under Mikel Arteta. Another game without a win last night against Southampton means the Gunners now sit in the bottom half of the table with a third of the campaign gone.

And according to this report, Mikel Arteta is now keen to accelerate plans to sign both Isco and Aouar, although it is claimed the Gunners may only be able to afford one of the midfield stars if they do agree to pursuing deals.
Aouar is a known long-term target for the Gunners. They missed out in the summer on the Lyon star but did manage to sign Thomas Partey.

Isco, meanwhile, is looking for a way out of Madrid after falling down the pecking order under Zinedine Zidane.
Both players would command hefty wages. Isco is said to be on around £123k-a-week in Madrid, while Aouar is on £60k, per reports.
Both top players but Aouar the priority – TBR View
These are both international players of the highest order but surely the priority has to be landing Aouar, who the Gunners have fancied for such a long time now?
He also brings more to the table, is younger, and has got on with things in Lyon. Isco, meanwhile, has shown a bit of attitude and that sort of character may be the last thing Arsenal needs.
Money might be an issue, but Arsenal need players. And fast. Aouar, then, has to be the main target.
