Arsenal are interested in Denis Zakaria heading into this summer, and 90min has suggested that the Gunners have discussed offering Granit Xhaka in exchange.
It looks set to be a crucial summer for Mikel Arteta. The Spaniard is coming under increasing pressure at the Emirates after a hugely underwhelming season.

Unfortunately for the Arsenal boss, 90min reports that he is set to be working with a limited budget over the coming months. And that has reportedly prompted the Gunners to consider other ways to get their targets through the door in North London.
According to 90min, Arsenal want Zakaria. And it is suggested that they are weighing up offering Xhaka in a swap deal.

Of course, that would present Xhaka with the opportunity to return to former club Borussia Monchengladbach. The Swiss arrived from the Bundesliga side for around £30 million five years ago (via Sky Sports).
The positive news for Arsenal is 90min’s claim Zakaria is keen to leave the German club. It is noted that his contract expires at the end of next season.
Zakaria has not had the best year. He has only made 14 starts in the top flight having returned from a long-term knee injury at the start of the season.
The report claims he is seen as potentially the perfect partner for Thomas Partey. And it seems that Xhaka may be the man to help Arsenal get his countryman in this summer.
