Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on Stade de Reims defender Axel Disasi. That is according to a report from L’Equipe this week.
The report claims that Arsenal and Monaco both made enquiries about the 6ft 3in defensive force in January, but nothing concrete.
The talented centre-back, who can represent both France and the DR Congo at international level and, according to The Sun, is worth around £18 million.
A commanding force, Disasi is also deceptively impressive with the ball at his feet and has been compared to Kurt Zouma by L’Equipe.

Arsenal are, of course, already set to welcome one French defender next season, when William Saliba’s loan spell at Saint-Etienne comes to an end.
It would appear that Disasi is viewed as a potential partner for Saliba at the back for Arsenal.
The Gunners have struggled defensively at times this season. He has played in all but one of Reims’ Ligue 1 games, helping them climb to fifth in the French top-flight before football’s suspension due to the global health crisis. He spent last season sitting behind Bjorn Engels in the Reims’ team but has replaced the Belgian with ease since his move to Aston Villa.
The 22-year-old, whose contract expires in the summer of 2021, is seen as a cost-effective option in North London. Whilst it might not have Arsenal fans jumping for joy with excitement this could be a shrewd piece of business from the Gunners.
