Arsenal are planning to send a scout to watch Roma’s clash with Lecce on Sunday, with Italian outlet Calciomercato reporting that Bryan Cristante is on the Gunners’ radar.
Cristante has made 13 Serie A appearances for Roma this season. He has scored one goal and contributed two assists.

And Calciomercato reports that the Gunners are planning to send a representative to the Giallorossi’s clash this weekend to have a look at the 24-year-old.
It is perhaps not a given however, that Cristante will play a prominent role for Roma after his previous league appearance.

The Italy international was sent off in the 3-2 defeat to Bologna earlier in the month. And the clash with Lecce will be the first game he will be available for after serving a one-match ban.
TBR View – Underwhelming season may put Arsenal off
Cristante has already played for a number of clubs during his brief career. He began at AC Milan and went to Benfica before returning to Italy.
Unquestionably, his best year to date came at Atalanta in 2017/18. He scored nine goals in the top flight, and 12 in all competitions.
Unfortunately, he has not got close to those tallies since joining Roma. In fact, he has as many red cards as goals in Serie A this season.
He is a combative and tenacious player capable of playing in a number of midfield roles, particularly in advanced areas. And it is telling that several high-profile clubs have already signed him.
He has the potential to be a very good player. And perhaps Arsenal’s scouts will be hoping to see evidence of that this weekend. But he is surely going to need to step up his form from this season if he is going to catch the eye against Lecce.
