Arsenal will look to tie down young starlet, Kido Taylor-Hart, with the Gunners set to offer the teenager a new contract.
Per an exclusive report from Football.London, it is claimed the Gunners are keen to avoid a repeat of their situation with another young star, Folarin Balogun.
Still just 18, Taylor-Hart has made the leap into the under-23 picture this term. Indeed, he even scored yesterday in a 2-2 draw for Steve Bould’s young Arsenal outfit.
He is, however, yet to put pen to paper on professional terms. There is also said to be interest from Europe, which means Arsenal will have to move quickly to avoid another nightmare scenario.
Regarding Balogun, he is now expected to leave the club. This, despite Mikel Arteta being bullish in his claims that the club will indeed keep hold of their young striker.
TBR View: Taylor-Hart one of a number at Arsenal who need deals, this is a smart move
The last thing Arsenal want here is another player who looks like he could be a top footballer leave the club for nothing.
Taylor-Hart very much looks the business for the Gunners. But this scenario of allowing young players to come to near the end of their deals is something Arsenal needs to sort and quickly.
The club risks losing players it has put time and investment into. Hopefully, Taylor-Hart will simply accept his deal and Arsenal can breathe easily on this one.
