Sead Kolasinac’s Arsenal exit looks set to move a step closer this week, with Sport Bild reporting that the Gunners are set to hold talks with Bayer Leverkusen in the coming days.
Kolasinac did not feature in Arsenal’s opening Premier League game, and it appears that Mikel Arteta is ready to let the 27-year-old leave the Emirates.
There are no shortage of admirers. Sport Bild reports that Roma have begun talks with Arsenal, while his former club Schalke are also interested in the left-back.
And Sport Bild has added that Leverkusen are planning to begin discussions with the Gunners this week. It is noted that Arsenal want £9.1 million for the defender, who is keen on a return to the Bundesliga.
Sport Bild suggests that they are not asking for a huge fee because of his wages. Spotrac shows that he earns £100,000-a-week in North London.
TBR View: Boost for Arsenal if Kolasinac sale’s agreed
It looks to be best for Arsenal and Kolasinac if a deal can be agreed sooner rather than later.
Of course, his exit would hand Arteta a further boost to his transfer kitty as the deadline edges closer.
And Kolasinac can continue his career elsewhere. The Bosnia and Herzegovina international looks to be down the pecking order. It certainly seemed telling that Ainsley Maitland-Niles started ahead of him at Fulham at the weekend.
And with plenty of admirers, it would appear finding a new home is not going to be too difficult for the defender.
