Spanish newspaper SPORT have claimed that Arsenal will consider a move to sign Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala in the summer if the Gunners fail to complete a permanent deal – or another loan move – for Martin Odegaard.
Odegaard, 22, has been excellent for Arsenal of late – scoring two goals in 12 games for the Gunners, netting in the North London derby over Tottenham and one in a Europa League win over Olympiacos. He remains on loan until June.
The Norway international is on a dry loan, though. The Gunners do not have a permanent clause in the loan deal for Odegaard – and it remains to be seen if Real Madrid are willing to both sell him, and whether Arsenal can afford any potential price tag.
The report states that if Arsenal cannot re-sign Odegaard this summer, then they will pursue a move for Juventus ace Dybala – who is about to enter the last year of his contract. Marca claim Dybala is rated at £47million.

TBR’s view – Dybala would be a worldie signing
Even better than Odegaard. Yes, Dybala is 27 – five years old than Odegaard but the South American is one of Europe’s best players when he is churning out his best performances. Six games shy of 250 for Juventus, he has 98 goals and 40 assists.
At less than £50million, he is an absolute no-brainer. If Arsenal can re-sign Odegaard, then that’s great. But getting Dybala would take Arsenal to the next level, perhaps enough to get back into the top four next season.
