Arsenal think that they can land Martin Odegaard on a cheaper deal than Real Madrid are currently asking for, The Sun report.
Cut price deal
Madrid currently want £40 million for the playmaker, who is a top target for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta.
At that price Odegaard could be difficult to obtain, with the Gunners needing to raise funds through offloading their own fringe players.
But Arsenal are convinced that they can land the 22-year-old on a cut price deal.
If Arsenal can get a discount then the transfer really does start to look appealing.
Well known class
Odegaard’s quality is well known at the north London club, as he spent last season on loan there, and his form led to him being described as ‘incredible’ by ESPN pundit Don Hutchison,

During his six month stint in an Arsenal shirt, Odegaard quickly became a key member of Arteta’s starting line-up.
Although the Norwegian may not have truly contributed with too many goals or assists, he did inject creativity into their play.
And with Arsenal struggling to land any of their other playmaking targets, bringing back Odegaard is starting to look like a very sensible move for the club.
