The Daily Express reports that Arsenal think they might well be able to sign Shakhtar Donetsk star Mykhaylo Mudryk over the next few days.

Mikel Arteta has set about bolstering his attacking options this month after Gabriel Jesus’ setback during the World Cup.

The Gunners are coping well without the Brazilian at the moment, with Eddie Nketiah impressing during his run in the first-team.

But Arsenal are currently locked in talks with Shakhtar over the signing of Mudryk, with Sport Arena claiming last night that the north Londoners are close to reaching an agreement

Of course, Arteta’s men have been chasing the Ukrainian’s signature throughout the first 10 days of the transfer window and it seems there is a growing confidence that they will get their man.

Arsenal think they will sign Mudryk in next few days

The Express reports that Arsenal have already had two bids for the 22-year-old knocked back but now they are confident they can strike a deal by the end of this week.

The outlet notes that the Gunners are pressing to reach an agreement with the Ukrainian outfit and fresh talks have already been scheduled.

Chelsea have also entered the frame to sign Mudryk but it seems clear that the winger wants a move to north London.

The ‘incredible’ forward has posted a number of hints on social media that suggest he is desperate to join Arteta’s side.

Arsenal fans will be hoping they can tie up this deal in the next few days to give the player an outside chance of making the north London derby this weekend.

The only thing that was supposedly holding up this deal was Shakhtar’s valuation. But Arsenal are seemingly pressing ahead with their attempts to land the youngster now.

Mudryk would be a brilliant addition to the Arsenal squad and would provide some much-needed depth on either flank.

If they do snap up Mudryk in the next few days, Arsenal fans will undoubtedly be relieved to see their club get this one over the line, especially with Chelsea expressing an interest.
