Report: Arsenal target Raphinha ready to push through Barcelona move
Raphinha is ready to make his desire to leave Leeds United public to help push through a potential move to Barcelona, with Arsenal not going any further than an enquiry due to his desire to go to the Nou Camp, according to a report from Spanish outlet Sport.
Raphinha continues to be linked with a move away from Elland Road. His contribution was absolutely pivotal in keeping Jesse Marsch’s men in the Premier League.
And he is now attracting plenty of attention. Barcelona want the winger. But reports this week claimed that several Premier League sides also have their eye on the Brazilian.
Arsenal are amongst his admirers. And Sport suggests that they have now made an enquiry for the 25-year-old. However, it seems that they are not optimistic about their chances of signing their target.
Sport reports that Raphinha has made it clear that he wants to join Barcelona. And with that, clubs such as Arsenal and Liverpool have not gone beyond making an enquiry.
Raphinha meanwhile, is prepared to publicly confirm that he wishes to join Barca to try and help proceedings. It is also noted that Leeds’ asking price has dropped to £42.8 million (€50 million).
Raphinha ready to push through Barcelona move
Leeds fans will certainly hope that there is nothing in the latest reports. Previous reports noted that the Whites want £56 million. And for some, that fee would not be enough for their top goalscorer.
Raphinha is an ‘unbelievable‘ player. And Leeds would probably be preparing for a Championship campaign had he not played as much as he did.
But he has also issued an update on his future. And while he did not shut the door on the possibility of leaving, he did hint that he would be content if he stayed at Leeds.
Obviously, Sport feel that he thinks differently behind the scenes.
