Report: Arsenal target Jesus' agent expected to meet with Juventus
Arsenal remain on pole position to sign Gabriel Jesus, but the striker’s agent is also expected to meet with Juventus in the coming days, according to a report from Calciomercato.It.
Gunners fans will hope that Jesus’ future will be resolved in the near future. Arsenal have been admirers of the 25-year-old for some time.
Jesus will leave Manchester City. And he has reportedly all but agreed personal terms with Arsenal.
Calciomercato. It suggests that the Gunners remain in the lead to sign Jesus. And his agent is set to arrive in Europe in the next few hours.
He will stop in London to hold discussions with Arsenal. But he is also planning to meet with Juventus. The Old Lady are willing to meet his £43 million asking price.
Jesus wants around £167,000-a-week at his next club. The potential move to Turin intrigues him. But Juve would be looking to pay the striker around £133,000-a-week.
Jesus’ agent expected to meet Juventus
It looks set to be a crucial period for Arsenal in their pursuit of Jesus. He looks to be their top target for the striker role.
It is encouraging that they remain in the lead for his signature. But the meetings with Juventus highlight why it is imperative that Arsenal look to wrap up a deal quickly.
The Brazil international is an ‘exceptional‘ striker. Kevin Campbell suggested that he is the best pressing forward in the world. And he was excellent for Manchester City this past season.
There will likely be huge discontent amongst the Arsenal fans should they now miss out on signing Jesus.
