Report: Arsenal target Isco has heart set on £13.5m reunion at Sevilla this summer

Arsenal are said to be keen on a move for Real Madrid playmaker Isco this January but it seems that any interest may be in vain.

That is according to reports in Spain, which suggest that Isco is adamant about a move to Sevilla in the summer.

As reported by AS, Real Madrid have ruled out a January exit for the midfield creator as Zinedine Zidane is fearful of leaving the club thin on options in case of an injury crisis.

A summer exit is more likely with a price-tag as low as €15 million (£13.5m) being mentioned.

But Isco is not keen on a move to England. Instead, he wishes to remain in Spain and work under his former national team boss Julen Lopetegui at Sevilla.

Arsenal have recently been linked with a move for Isco with The Telegraph claiming that Real Madrid would prefer to sell the 28-year-old abroad.

Mikel Arteta refused to rule out a move for Isco in January with a fairly basic response to a direct question about the Real Madrid star this week.

Arsenal’s lack of creativity from midfield has been evident throughout the season so far although the recent implementation of Emile Smith-Rowe and Gabriel Martinelli has helped arrest that issue.

But if Isco is a serious target, it seems Arsenal will have a task on convincing him out of a move to Sevilla in the summer.
