Report: Arsenal still interested in Celtic star Odsonne Edouard

Arsenal remain interested in securing the services of Celtic star Odsonne Edouard this summer, according to The Telegraph.

The Gunners could look to bolster their firepower in the summer, with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah set to enter the final year of their current deals.

Leicester City are also in the hunt for Edouard, with boss Brendan Rodgers seeing the very best of the striker during his time as Celtic manager.

Edouard looks set to be allowed to leave the Hoops this summer. He is thought to be valued between £15-20 million and won’t be short of suitors.

The 23-year-old has been a revelation since joining Celtic from PSG in 2018. He has found the net 81 times in 163 appearances and has bagged 20 goals in 35 appearances during 2020/21.

Arsenal are in desperate need of something a little bit extra in the final third and Edouard looks like the ideal type of striker.

He is quick, lethal in and around the box and is also at a nice age where he will still improve.

Edouard earns £19,500-a-week at Parkhead and at just £20 million, he’d represent a real steal in the summer transfer window.

As a result, the signing of Edouard on a cut-price deal might be the perfect summer addition for the Gunners.
