Report: Arsenal star's representatives now in talks with two title-winners and Emery's men; he wants to go
The representatives of Hector Bellerin are also in talks with Atletico Madrid and Villarreal as the defender looks to secure a move away from Arsenal, according to a report from Football London.
Bellerin has been linked with the Emirates exit throughout much of the window. In fact, it has been claimed that he has told the Gunners that he wishes to go.
Inter Milan are reportedly leading the race. But the Nerazzurri do not have a clear run to his signature by any means.
According to Football London, he is yet to agree personal terms with Inter. Meanwhile, Bellerin’s representatives are also talking to clubs such as Atletico and Villarreal.
Atleti, of course, won La Liga last season. Villarreal meanwhile, beat Manchester United in the Europa League final.
And obviously, a move to the Yellow Submarine would see Bellerin reunited with Unai Emery.
Arsenal are open to selling Bellerin. Football London reports that the Gunners want £17.1 million for the defender.
More interest in Bellerin is a boost for Arsenal amid talks reports
The amount of interest in Bellerin is good news for Arsenal. Admittedly, teams are reluctant to spend big this summer.
But the more admirers there are, the more likely it is that a team will meet the Gunners’ demands. Arsenal may even hold out hope of a bidding war starting up that leaves Mikel Arteta’s men securing a really good price.
Atletico, Inter and Villarreal can all offer Champions League football next term. They will also all be in Pot One in the group-stage draw.
They can all put attractive offers on the table.
But it does not appear that convincing Bellerin into a move is going to be the tough part of the negotiations.
