Arsenal are understood to be moving closer to reaching an agreement with Khayon Edwards over a new contract, but Football London reports that Brighton have made an enquiry over signing the 18-year-old.
Edwards’ future at the Emirates looks to have a question mark hanging over it. The teenager’s scholarship deal expires at the end of the season.

Reports recently claimed that Chelsea have made contact about a move. And it appears that they are not the only Premier League side monitoring Edwards.
Football London reports that the Seagulls have now made an enquiry for the striker.

It is also suggested that Arsenal are understood to be moving closer to agreeing a new deal with Edwards. The boyhood Chelsea fan shares an agent with Bukayo Saka and Folarin Balogun.
Big boost for Arsenal if Khayon Edwards signs new contract amid interest
Edwards is yet to make his first-team debut for the Gunners. However, he has provided a glimpse of what he may be capable of in the future.
The starlet has scored 16 goals in 16 games in the under-18 Premier League this season. Meanwhile, he has one for the under-23s, too.
So it is little surprise that their Premier League rivals are keen on a move. And it is not hard to imagine Brighton and Chelsea not being the only teams in the running for his signature.
It would certainly be fantastic news for Mikel Arteta’s men if they could now agree a professional contract with Edwards.
Arsenal have a number of exciting young strikers coming through the ranks. And there may be an opportunity for one or two to be around the first-team fold next year given the overhaul on the cards.
Edwards will probably have his sights set on regular under-23 game-time right now. But Arsenal will hope to convince him that the pathway to the first-team could well be there if he sticks around.
